Speedsuits are faster but won't win fashion contests

The latest in running technology is endurance speedsuits that claim to improve efficiency by up to 1%.

But they also look like a wetsuit designed for a disco bar.

Tech isn’t everything. At this year’s London Marathon, Yomif Kejelcha broke two hours wearing Adidas’ Techfit Endurance Suit. But race winner Sabastian Sawe ditched the full suit and set the world record at 1:59:30.

At a 3:20 marathon pace, 1% faster means 2 minutes.

At my age I’ll do anything to pick up a few seconds. PR lotion, Nutter Butters, whatever it takes.

But can we get something that better…suits my style? 😆
